The Microjustice Initiative will have the form of a virtual network of interlinked and independent activities, facilitated by the Platform Support Organization, and is locally implemented by an alliance of participating network organizations. The platform support organization will have the form of a Dutch foundation (stichting).

The organizational structure is pragmatic and flexible, organized in an alliance of organizations to avoid a bureaucratic structure. The responsibility for the implementation of the activities depends on the proposed project proposals and the established partnerships in the concrete project. This reflects the nature of the initiative of being a network organization facilitating the development of innovative forms of justice.

Gradually, a board of directors will be formed consisting of initiators and new partners in the project. The Platform Support Organization will have a supervisory board consisting of active promoters who can devote a substantial amount of their time and energy to the Microjustice Initiative. If need be, it may also have an advisory board consisting of promoters who use their network to support the Microjustice Initiative, as well as an academic advisory council and/or a fieldwork advisory council.

The main activities (Microjustice Programs and MicrojusticeNormsandProcesses.com), will be undertaken in the form of separate projects. They can be projects sponsored by governments or NGO’s, business ventures, or joint ventures between market parties and NGO’s. After an initial start up phase, these activities will contribute a small percentage of their budgets to the Platform Support Organization and the activities in the area of communication, political support, and financial support. The Microjustice Initiative can also be supported by Platform Partners who take part in the initiative in general.
